Travel advice

Good preparation
changes everything.

Clear, practical answers for planning a comfortable and rewarding African journey.

Before you travel

Confidence starts
with clarity.

We will provide advice specific to your itinerary and departure country. Health, visa and security requirements should always be checked against current official sources.

When is the best time to travel?

There is no single best month. Kenya and Tanzania offer rewarding wildlife throughout the year, while gorilla trekking in Uganda and Rwanda is often most comfortable in the drier seasons. We will match timing to the regions and experiences most important to you.

How much should I budget?

Cost depends on season, lodge tier, private guiding, internal flights and trip length. We use transparent indicative ranges during planning, then provide a proposal with its currency, assumptions and validity clearly stated.

Will the journey be physically demanding?

It does not have to be. We discuss mobility, walking distances, vehicle access, steps and trekking requirements before recommending a route. Rest days and fly-in options can make a major difference.

What health and vaccination advice do I need?

Requirements vary by destination, route and personal circumstances. Consult your doctor or a specialist travel clinic and use current government health guidance. Safiri will identify itinerary-specific considerations but does not replace professional medical advice.

What about visas and passport requirements?

Entry rules change and depend on your passport. We will point you to the appropriate official immigration and government travel-advice sources for every country in your itinerary.

What luggage can I take on safari flights?

Light-aircraft limits are often lower than international airline allowances and soft-sided bags may be required. Your final documents will specify the exact allowance for each flight.

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?

Most established camps can accommodate common dietary requirements with notice. Tell us early so every supplier receives accurate information.

How do I start planning?

Share your approximate dates, preferred countries, traveller numbers, interests and desired comfort level. You do not need to have a finished itinerary.

Still wondering?

We will give you a considered answer, not a generic sales response.
